HOSSAM RAMZY

Nacido en el Cairo, la carrera musical de Hossam Ramzy empezó temprano, cuando a los tres años recibió su primer tambor: una tabla egipcia. Su familia se dio cuenta de su pasión por la percusión (muchos de ellos estaban involucrados en las artes) y le animaron a perfeccionar su arte estudiando con los principales profesores de música de Egipto.

Tras estar estudiando los ritmos de las tribus beduinas, Hossam se trasladó a Inglaterra donde empezó de trabajar como percusionista de jazz con unos de los grandes músicos, tal como Andy Sheperd y Geoff Williams. Pero, cuando comenzó a buscar nuevas dimensiones de sonidos percusivos, se encontró a él mismo dando un giro de 180 grados hacia su primer amor - los tambores egipcios y los apasionantes ritmos de la danza del Oriente Medio. Hossam entonces incorporó su experiencia rítmica para crear un nuevo sonido que actualmente puede escucharse en cientos de importantes álbumes.

Hossam es mundialmente conocido por crear arreglos de cuerda y percusión, y produjo muchas de las canciones de importantes artistas como: Yesim Salkim, Celick Erici, Cheb Khaled, Tarkan, Rachid Taha, Faudel, The Gypsy Kings, y también varias bandas sonoras.
